GOOGLE USER DATA POLICY (FOR AI FEATURE)

To enable the **AI Assignment Generation** feature powered by Gemini, teachers must authenticate with their Google account via the Google Sign-In (OAuth) process. We strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Collection and Purpose

  • **Scopes Requested:** We request the `email`, `profile`, and `openid` scopes.
  • **Email (`email` scope):** We collect your primary Google email address. This is used **solely as a secure, unique identifier** to link your Campus Connect account and **authorize your access** to the Gemini AI tool.
  • **Profile (`profile` scope):** We collect your name and, if available, profile picture. This data is used **only to personalize** your user profile and confirm your identity on the AI generation screen.

**Limited Use of Google User Data**

  • We **do not** use this data for serving advertisements.
  • We **do not** sell or share this data with any third parties, except as required for the secure authentication process itself.
  • We **do not** allow humans to read this data, unless it is necessary for security, legal purposes, or with your explicit consent for support.

ADVERTISEMENT POLICY

  • Ads are shown only in Campus Connect for parent users
  • No ads are displayed to admin or teacher logins
  • No ads are shown in Campus Attendance app
  • Ads are delivered via Google AdMob, which follows its own privacy policies

DATA SHARING

  • We never sell personal data
  • Third-party services (e.g., Firebase, AdMob) operate under their own policies

SECURITY MEASURES

  • All data transmitted via HTTPS
  • Stored on protected Bandhu Connect servers with limited access

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

  • Apps are intended for use by school staff and parents
  • Not intended for children under 13
  • No direct data collection from children
